The summer creative course on "Metal and Jewellery", conducted by Bairui Space in collaboration with the AIP International Department of China Academy of Fine Arts and with academic support from Sheffield Hallam University, was successfully completed at the Dali Traditional Craft Workstation Hecheng Base on 9 August 2020. The course consisted of a three-in-one teaching model of lectures, seminars and practical teaching, with Professor Li Haihua and Professor Wang Jing from the Yunnan Academy of Arts, Mr Li Fuming, an intangible cultural heritage inheritor, and Sheffield Hallam University alumni and guest lecturer Dai Xinru.

This summer creative course ranged from theoretical learning to craft practice, from conceptual inspiration to practical analysis, from macro-cultural discussions to specific crafts, from international perspectives to local cultural seminars, from the inheritance of traditional intangible heritage crafts to innovation in contemporary art design, inspiring students to think in a comprehensive way about metal and jewellery art and other related fields.
