Mian Wu, born in 1990, currently lives in Wuhan, Hubei, China. She graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Jewellery Arts and Design with a bachelor's and master's degrees. She once studied in Kim Buck Studio in Denmark,and established the Clothing Laboratory while she was working at Hubei Academy of Fine Arts. She was also employed in the Jewellery Studio of Central Academy of Fine Arts for teaching work. Additionally, She is the Swarovski headquarters co-designer and responsible for the new research and development of the "Asian Symbol" series and the joint series of the Palace Museum.
For Wu, Jewellery is a language of expression, and she often seeks and makes experiment of this language to suit for her works.
Her graduation works have won many awards such as Dean Nomination Award, Alumni Association Award, and won the first place in Asia Outstanding Graduation works of Ubi Contemporary Jewellery Gallery. Her works have been exhibited in Beijing, Shanghai, Kaohsiung, Munich, Melbourne, Edan and other cities at home and abroad, and have been collected by the Central Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum, Ubi Gallery, Pinsstudio, Funaki Gallery, and WuHao Curated Shop. In 2022, she published her book "Jewellery Creativity and Design Methods", which shared her methodology for contemporary Jewellery art creation.
